RTR acquires 15.6 MW portfolio of solar photovoltaic plants

June 23rd 2016 - RTR, Italy's leading solar energy provider owned by private equity firm Terra Firma, announced today that it has agreed to acquire eleven existing, connected solar photovoltaic power plants with a total capacity of 15.6 MW. 

The additional plants will generate enough energy to meet the annual electricity needs of 8,500 households and reduce CO2 emissions by 12,200 tons each year.

Through this transaction, RTR's portfolio has grown to 130 photovoltaic plants in Italy, with a total installed capacity of 334 MWp and annual green energy production of more than 450 GWh.

RTR was supported in the transaction by the law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners; Moroni & Partners as a technical advisor and K Studio Associato as a tax consultant.
